   Birder enjoying the view On Friday (until 3pm) and Sunday, Festival Headquarters is located at the Grays Harbor NWR Office on Airport Way. On Friday from 4pm - 7pm and on Saturday, Festival Headquarters is located at Central Elementary School. See Events for information about location and fees.
   Please note that some events are free and others have a fee and require registration. To register for an event, complete and mail in the registration form. Fees must be paid at time of registration.


Friday, April 30

8:00am - 3:00pm Festival Information and Registration for fee events. Grays Harbor NWR Office on Airport Way.
9:00am - 5:00pm Field trip to Tokeland, Grayland and Westport. Meet at Grays Harbor NWR Office, Airport Way. $45 registration fee.
10:30am - 5:30pm Field trip to Ocean Shores. Meet at Grays Harbor NWR Office, Airport Way. $35 registration fee.
2:00pm - 6:00pm

Best shorebird viewing at Grays Harbor NWR (on own). High tide is at 4:00pm. Volunteers with scopes on Sandpiper Trail. Free.

2:30pm - 4:30pm Guided Bird Walk at Grays Harbor NWR. Meet at the Refuge Kiosk on Airport Way. leaders Art Pavey and Merlin Wiese. Free
4:00pm - 7:00pm Festival Information and Registration for fee events. Festival Headquarters, Central Elementary School.

7:00pm - 9:00pm

Dessert Reception at 7pm followed by the keynote speaker at 7:30pm

Keynote Speaker and Dessert Reception. Bird Conservation Without Borders. $15 registration fee.

Saturday, May 1

8:000am - 5:00pm Festival Information and Registration for fee events. Festival Headquarters, Central Elementary School.
9:00am - 3:00pm Field trip to Point Grenville. $40 registration fee.
9:00am - 10:30am

Shorebird Festival Run at Hoquiam Train Depot. Registration required.

9:00am - 5:00pm

Birding Marketplace at Festival Headquarters.

9:00am - 5:00pm Nature Fun Fair at Festival Headquarters. Great for families! Free.
9:30am - 3:30pm Field trip to Lake Quinault and Rain Forest. $25 registration fee.
10:00am - 3:00pm Field trip Coastal Raptors. $20 registration fee.
10:30am - 5:00pm Field trip to Ocean Shores. $35 registration fee.
10:30am - 5:00pm Field trip to Westport. $35 registration fee.
11:00am - Noon Lecture. Carving and Painting Waterfowl and Shorebirds. $10 registration fee.
11:00am - 7:00pm Shuttle Bus will run continuously between Festival Headquarters and the Sandpiper Trail at Grays Harbor NWR. Free.
1:00pm - 2:00pm Lecture. Shorebird Identification Basics. $10 registration fee.
1:00pm - 1:30pm Shorebird Festival Poster Contest Awards Ceremony. Festival Headquarters. Free.
2:00pm - 3:00pm Workshop. Mudflat Meals: See What Shorebirds Have for Dinner - great for kids. Free.
2:30pm - 4:30pm Field Trip - Shorebirds for Beginners. $15 registration fee.
2:40pm - 6:40pm Best shorebird viewing at Grays Harbor NWR (on own). High tide is at 4pm. Volunteers with scopes on Sandpiper Trail. Free.

5:30pm - 6:30pm

Social Hour with no-host wine and beer at the Elks Lodge in Hoquiam prior to banquet.

6:30pm - 9:00pm Banquet with Live Auction at the Elks in Hoquiam $25 registration fee.

12 noon - 7:00pm Shuttle Bus will run continuously between Festival Headquarters (Grays Harbor NWR Office) and the Sandpiper Trail at Grays Harbor NWR. Free.
3:00pm - 5:00pm Guided birdwalk at Grays Harbor NWR. Meet at Refuge Kiosk on Airport Way. Free.
3:30pm - 7:30pm Best shorebird viewing at Grays Harbor NWR (on own). High tide is at 5:30pm. Volunteers with scopes on Sandpiper Trail. Free.
